The immense value of a sacred mountain

Tindaya, the 18-million-year-old sacred mountain, has been since very remote times a
magical place of worship, admiration and reference.

The High House is an example of the traditional Majorero construction of the island’s
upper classes, which contains spaces of exhibition and interpretation to show the
value of the mountain and the area, which are many: archaeological values, due to the
hundreds of aboriginal engravings that huddle together on its top; historical values,
for all its memories and legends; geological values, for its formation and composition;
and natural values, because it is home to endemic and singular species. A mountain
with an immense value, as immense as her size.
