A trip to the past of Fuerteventura through a short walk on foot through the village of La Ampuyenta and its charming rural surroundings and historical buildings:
La Ampuyenta Hospitalito
A distinguished building with three joint pavilions, which meant an important
architectural innovation and whose construction, promoted by Doctor Mena a few years before his death, took three decades.
Doctor Mena House
Born in La Ampuyenta in the bosom of a very humble Majorero family, the renowned Doctor Mena travelled over the world due to his studies before settling again on the island, in this house in his native village, where he
performed his job as a physician in the service of the people of Fuerteventura, always free of charge, by vocation.
Fray Andresito House
The humble little house where the Franciscan monk Andrés Filomeno García Acosta and some of his relatives lived in the first half of the 19 th century and hosts a sanctuary in honour of the friar.
